Newspapers, Magazines and News Agencies
Most news agencies and television news services now operate Web sites which provide access to current and breaking news stories. In this section, we review the primary sources for news information on the Web. A fairly lengthy list of newspapers and periodicals publishing Web pages can be found at:
http://www.coastal.edu/services/lib/indexes.htmUnfortunately, the very lengthy of this list is its biggest problem. It takes a very long time to load, and indeed, we have never been able to load the list of periodicals in full.
Looking first at News Agencies, the WinWeb page offers access to online news information from around the World. It can be found at:

Television
The major cable/ satellite television news networks distribute their news, weather and sports information over the Net. Sky TV's service can be found at:
http://www.sky.co.uk/main.htmlThe American media news giant CNN publishes a page of financial information at:
http://cnnfn.com/index.html
Coverage tends to be very topical in nature, with primary emphasis being placed on late breaking news. Current stock price quotations can be obtained over the service. Information is available from this service free of charge. However it tends to run very slowly at peak user periods ( from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm UK time). As might be expected, there is a distinct American bias in the focus of coverage. However, a similar but more European-centred service is available from the European Business News cable/ satellite television system, which has its home page at:
http://www.EBN.co.uk/
