The Museum of Russian
Art in Yerevan is based on the collection of the honourable citizen of Moscow
prof. Aram Abrahamian.
Exhibits of the Museum represent the most important period of painting, graphic
and decorative art of Russia of the end of 19 and the beginning of 20cc. It
was a unique, bright period, which determined the further development of Russian
art and culture.
Alexander Shevchenko (1882-1948) Russian painter and drawer. Still life represents the period of author participation in the associations Donkey tail, N4, when painter applied to the Russian and Ukraine national traditions, such as the russian icon, miniature and national creations.
Konstantin Roudakov
(1891-1949) Russian painter, an outstanding illustrator, brilliant
painter, theatre scenographer and teacher. In 1928-32s he created a series of
water-colour pictures and monotypes gathered by one subject. In a Restaurant
was done by laconic style, which is peculiar for drawer.

07.09.2004. CENTENARY OF FOOTBALL INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION ASSOCIATION
FIFA is the world sport association, which deals with questions
concerning football development. It has established in 1904 in Paris.
Gathers 204 national country federations. The official langauges are French,
English, German, Russian and Spanish. The head office is
determined by the residence of the general secretary. Armenia joined FIFA in
1992.

Voskehat (Kharji)
First time this grape was mentioned in the manuscripts. A unique type, is used
in making table wines, shampagne and cognac.
Clusters are thick, has a golden colour, the sugar content is more than 20%.
Spread in the Ararat plain and neighboring zones.
Black Areni
Former names were Black cross, Malakhi. One of the best grape varieties. Spread
only on 500he. Is used for making dry red wines.

09.09.2004. 400th ANNIVERSARY OF THE ARMENIAN SETTLEMENT OF NEW JULFA
Armenian settlement in
Iran, was founded by Arme-nians from Julfa who had emigrated to the Spahan region.
Had an autonomy.
In 17-18cc. Was a significant cultural centre. In the middle of 17c. the traders
of New Julfa found the New Julfa Trade Association, which engaged in wide trade
activity, signed contracts with foreign countries and trade companies. In 1630
Khachatur Kesaratsi established a school, then in 1638 a printing house. Here
the miniature, painting, architecture, ashugh poetry were developed.
In 19-20cc. New Julfa stayed a spiritual and cultural centre.

10. 09. 2004. ARMENIAN CINEMATOGRAPHY. ARMENIAN ANIMATION
The first animated cartoon The dog and the cat was made in 1937, based on a poem by Hovhannes Toumanian (directed by L.Atamanov, animated by V.Suteev). It was the first creative success of Armenian cinematographers and became one of the best cartoons of the time. In the middle of 1960s Valentin Podpomogov tried to reveal Armenian animation. The 1970s were the burning years of the development of Armenian animation. The new expression was the creation of cartoon Foxbook (1975, directed by R.Sahakyanc, animated by O.Dilakian, music by D.Azarian).

11. 09. 2004. 125th ANNIVERSARY OF BIRTH OF ARAMAYIS YERZNKIAN
Aramayis Yerznkian (1879-1937)
A statesman, member of RSWA (Russian Social Democratic Worker Party), in 1907 took part in the V London Assembly of RSWA, in 1916 was elected member of the City Congress of Tbilisi, in 1917 after the February revolution, a member of Workers Council and then Transcaucasian Diet. In 1920-30 was appointed national commissioner of agriculture. Since 1921 was the chairman of Armenian aid committee Central Board and in 1931-33 the chairman of Executive Committee of Yerevan City Council. Was unfounded arrested, died in prison, later was justified.
