Aram  Issabekian  was born  in Yerevan  in 1952.
 
In 1976 he graduated from the Painting  Department of Yerevan Fine Arts Institute.
 
In 1979 he started to teach at the same Institute.  In  1990  Aram  Issabekian  became a Docent, and in 1992 - a Professor.
 
He has been  a member  of the  Armenian Artists' Union  since  1982. In  1993 -  1998 he  was the Head  of  Painters'  Department of  the Armenian Artists' Union.
 
In  1990-1994 Issabekian  was the  Pro-Rector of Yerevan Fine  Arts Institute.  Since 1994  he has been the Rector of that Institute.
 
Since  1976  Aram Issabekian  has taken  part in numerous  expositions,  including  international ones. Paintings by  Aram Issabekian  are exhibited  in Yerevan  National Gallery, Yerevan Modern Art Museum, Moscow Tretiakov Gallery, picture halls of  Etchmiadzin, Hrazdan, Dilijan and Martuni, as well as in many private collections.
