NEPHROTIC SYNDROME

In the monograph of Head of Internal Diseases Departament of Yerevan Medical University, Head Therapist of the Republic of Armenia, Doctor of Medicine, Professor Vilen M. Haroutyuian, Assistant Professor of the same Departament Albert S. Bagdasarian and Head of Nephrology Departament of "Armenia" Republic Medical Cantre Jasaman M. Matevosian a contemporary view on aetiology, pathogenesis, and treatment of nephrotic syndrome has been presented based on the analysis of numerous scintific information and own abservations.
Different clinical variants of the course of nephrotic syndrome, criteria of activity, pathogenesis of the main symptoms are discussed in detail facilitating diagnostics and therapeutic tactics.
When describing clinical pattern and after-effects of nephrotic syndrome, the authors emphasize non-identity of some indications of the disease presenting concreate practical examples.
In accordance with the practical requirements, a detailed clinical morphology of primary and secondary nephrotic syndrome has been presented.
Special attention is paid to secondary nephrotic syndrome in the case of hereditary amyloidose connected with periodic disease (Mediterranean faver) being an endolithic pathology in the Republic of Armenia as well as to medicinal and paraneoplastic nephropathy, diabetic glomerulosclerosis.
In the Chapter devoted to treatment, different types of pathogenetic and symptomatic therapy, extra corporal methods of treatment etc. have been considered from the most advanced scintific positions.
The rich clinical experience of the authors enables them to discribe in the monograph outstanding clinical examples as case records. This makes the book more interesting and comperehensible to students and wide professional ciricle of readers.
