IMMUNOCOMPETENT SYSTEM AT AMYLOIDOSIS AND SOME ENDOCRINE

The authors, Prof. V.M. Haroutyunian, Doctor of Medical
Sciences, and G.A. Yeganian, Candidate of Medical Sciences, have
generalized and presented the results of their long-standing
investigations of immunity T and B systems' participation in
pathogenesis of amylodosis and of seroglobulin sources of
amyloide formation. The problem of immunogenesis disruption at
endocrine lesions is elucidated.
The date concerning hypothalamus and pituitary body's
participation in regulation of immunogenesis, dependence of
humoral immunity on the functional state of thyroid gland, the
effect of thyrotoxicosis and hypothyrosis on the function of
adrenal cortex under conditions of active immunogenesis, the
importance of thymus in infectious immunity, immunological
reactivity at diabetes mellitus and other date are presented.
The book is destined for all medical specialists, as well
as specialists dealing with the problems of metabolic endocrine
lesions.
