Pomper, OJSC

Pomper factory was one of the enterprises of the Ministry of Industry of Armenia that was totally privatized and reorganized into the OJS Company, in June 1995. The factory was privatized mainly by its personnel. Yerevan Pomper factory belonged to the Ministry of Chemical and Oil Industry of USSR. It was a monopolistic producer of centrifugal cantilever and monoblock pumps of a capacity 8.0 to 90.0 m^3/h and a head from 18.0 to 30.0 m. The pumps are used under stationary conditions for supply of water and other liquids similiar in density, viscosity and chemical activity to water. The temperature of pumped liquids is 85 C. The factoriy was producing up to 135,000 pumps a year, using special conveyors and technological lines in production. Pumps were supplied to more than 25 countries (Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Hungary, Bulgary, Czechia, etc.). The factory has the following shops: iron foundry, mechanical-assembly, tool, repair, woodwork, alumininum pressure foundry, production of parts from polyethylene and assembly of electric motors. The factory owns a cattle-breeding farm in the Vardenis Region. The territory of the farm is 6.12 ha. The factory intends to cooperate with foreign partners producting pumps, joint supply of parts to pumps and finding new forms of production.
Powder Metallurgy, JSC

Output: scientific - creation of new high-efficient, practically wasteless technologies for obtaining various materials with given properties and device production from these materials manufacturing - production of research-intensive devices (machine parts, tools, mechanisms and other devices, etc) from waste materials and composites by means of powder metallurgy methods.
Productive capacity:
- production of a wide variety of multi-purpose machine parts, tools and other equipment (constructional, antifrictional, frictional, etc) by standard technologies-500 t/year,
- production of special materials and devices (magnetic, electrocontact, instrumental, high-temperature resistant, etc) by original technological processes developed at the enterprise - 20 t/year,
- production of a unique hard lubricant (molybdenum disulphide) by original technological processes elaborated at the enterprise - 100 t/year,
- production of high-quality finely dispersed natural mineral pigments (dyes) from local raw materials (stone processing wastes - tufa and colour soils), as well as multipurpose paints (decorative, technical, constructive, et al.) by original technological processes elaborated at the enterprise-100 t/year,
- hardening and restoration of wear parts by modern spraying deposition technologies-200 t/year˙˙˙˙.
Markets: Armenia - 80% and other CIS countries - 20%.
Goods for export: having sufficiently high research potential and large productive capacity, the enterprise can accept orders for development of production technologies for various materials, parts and supplies shipped as required.
The enterprise has a long-term experience (over 25 years) in the area of powder metallurgy and material science.
The proposed projects of the enterprise: innovation and adjustment of the existing product aims to increase the capacity for manufacturing of special materials and devices on basisof modern and special technology.
Precision Machines Plant, Ltd

Production: high precision lathe and lathe screwcutting machines (diameter up to 250 mm, lenght 750 mm), electrical erosion-carving machines, with numerical control (cutting outline up to 250x250 mm), table drilling machines, thread cutting lathe (drilling diamener up to 6 mm), thread-cutting diameter up to 3 mm, balancing machines availalable for dynamic items balancing up to 0.01-3 kg.

Productive capacity: ferroalloys - 3000 t/year, including: ferromolybdenum - 1000 t/year, metallic powders 100 t/year (including with special properties - 50 t/year). Products meet the international standards.
Markets: CIS - 20%, France, U.K., Germany, Austria, the Netherlands - 80%.
Goods for export: ferro-alloys and metal powders. The company has a long-term experience in the field of ferroalloys and metallic powders manufacturing.
Proposed projects: Innovation of ferro-molybdenum manufacturing aiming to increase the output up to 2000 t/year, with the molybdenum content in the alloy not less than 0.5%.
Aditional data: Pure Iron plant is disposed. in the close proximity to the group of enterprises of molybdenum concentrate extraction (Zangezour copper-molybdenum enterprise). Hense it is possible to have the molybdenum concentrate in sufficient quantities and eliminate the costs for shipment of raw materials in order to obtain ferromolybdenum.
Taking into account the long-term experience in the field of ferro-alloys and in order to provide the Eurasian market with high-quality ferromolybdenum, it is necessary to update technological lines to bring its output from 1,000 t/year to 2,000 t/year, with the molybdenum content in the alloy not less than 65/%.
Plant Area: - 75,000 m^2.
Pure Iron has highly developed infrastructure, power station (24-hour power supply), fresh and technical water, gas and steam pipelines.
Pure Iron is disposed outside the city in ecologicaly clean area.
