Section of Human Arts of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of enia, Madenataran, Yerevan State University, sponsored by UNESCO.
The acceptance of Christianity as the state religion, the relations between the Armenian Church and the Churches of neighboring countries in the Near and Middle East, Byzantium and the Caucasus.

Sections: history, humanities, theology, the arts

Experts on enian ptudies and Eastern studies will be invited to the conference.
Foreign countries: 25 people
Armenia and CIS countries: 40 people
Theses must be submitted by October 15, 1997. Maximum length of thesis is 20 minutes. General and special sessions wi11 take place at the National Academy of Sciences as well as at the Madenataran and the State University. Committees will be formed during the months of October and November.
